Sarah Storey extended her winning streak to four events with a dominant victory in the women's category at the ...a3crg Goodwood 10-mile Closed Circuit Time Trial on 17 July 2025. Paul Burton claimed the open win in this Sussex time trial, organised by ...a3crg. The event at Goodwood Motor Circuit drew 135 riders, showcasing strong fields in open, women's, and youth categories.

Women's Category Highlights and Results

In her first open time trial of 2025, Storey (Storey Racing) posted an unbeatable 22:19, building on her three wins in the 2024 ...a3crg 10-mile series. Sarah Matthews (...a3crg) was second in 23:25, with Skye Martingale (Type One Style) third in 24:53.

Open Category Highlights and Results

Burton (Paceline Race Team) improved on his previous runner-up spot, clocking 19:25 to shave 12 seconds off his time and secure victory. Alex Murphy (Stolen Goat Race Team) finished second as the top espoir with 19:50, while Andy Langdown (...a3crg) took third in 20:12.

Burton commented: “I am enjoying my return to form and really pleased with another PB round Goodwood, the win was an added bonus. …a3crg’s Goodwood series is great for the local scene, amazing to see such big and varied fields out racing each week.”

Youth Categories and Team Results

In the 8-13-year-old youth road bike category (7.6-mile course), Solent Pirates Youth Cycling Club shone: Maddox Matthews topped with 22:32, Sebastian Berger third in 23:14, and Sophie Badenoch in 24:38 for third.

For the 12-15 10-mile youth time trial, Bruce Nisbett (trainSharp Roman RT) led with 28:46, followed by Samuel Machell (Solent Pirates Youth Cycling Club) in 29:09 and Frank James of (Chichester Triathlon Club) in 30:05.

The quickest team was ...a3crg's Andy Langdown, Sarah Matthews, and Rob Vessey with a combined 1:07:46.

Course and Event Details

This 10-mile closed circuit time trial on course P917/10 at Goodwood Motor Circuit involves just over four laps of the iconic venue. The series' popularity continues to grow, offering a safe, traffic-free environment for competitive cycling in Sussex.
