Final Round of the M&DTTA Spring 10 Series
The final event in the three‑race M&DTTA 10‑mile time trial series took place on Saturday 18th April in Cheshire, with a strong field of nearly 70 riders turning out despite the chilly, breezy conditions. The weather may have been cool, but the racing certainly wasn’t.
Youth Event
The youth category delivered one of the standout performances of the day. Local Congleton CC rider Joshua Pullen, aged just 15 and riding his first ever open event, stormed to victory with an impressive 28:29. A superb debut and one to watch for the future.
Overall Results – A Congleton Clean Sweep
Congleton CC dominated the senior categories too, taking both the women’s and open titles:
Female Winner: Claire Harrison (Congleton CC)
Open Winner: Alastair Ribbands (Congleton CC)
A remarkable clean sweep for the club and a testament to their strength across the board.
ParaTriathlon & British Cycling Para Team Guests
A highlight of the day was welcoming a large contingent from ParaTriathlon and the British Cycling Para team, who were in the area for a training camp and eager to test themselves against the clock. Their presence brought a brilliant atmosphere, and their determination and professionalism were genuinely inspirational.
Feedback from the team was overwhelmingly positive -they thoroughly enjoyed the event and expressed enthusiasm for taking part in more time trials in the future.
