2026 TEESSIDE DISTRICT OPEN EVENTS - Announcements

It is regrettable that due to one reason and another, a number of Teesside events have been cancelled or re-arranged.

The following events have been cancelled:

23 May 2026 Richmond CC (SPOCO) event on the T243 Circuit event – cancelled due to road subsidence/damage that will necessitate traffic control for the foreseeable future.  No start date or completion date can be provided by the local authority; however it has been advised that traffic management will run into summer months and possibly beyond.  Note: The Stockton Wheeler’s Tan Hill event (9 August 2026) has now replaced the above event as a counting event in the Teesside SPOCO competition.  It also is a counting event in the season long hill climb competition. 

02 August 2026 Cleveland Coureurs / YCF joint 100-mile Time trial – cancelled due to safety concerns on the further use of the A19/168 courses. No alternative is currently available

Darlington CC Club 10s on the T103 – Due to roadworks, which necessitate road closures/traffic lights, there will be no events on this Scorton course until Wednesday 27 May 2026.  They will then continue weekly.

The following events have been re-arranged:

07 June 2026 Cleveland Coureurs/VTTA North Group Open 10 – Due to safety concerns on the further use of the A19 courses, this event is no longer on the A19 Crathorne/Cleveland Tontine  course.  An alternative course is to be used,.  The event is to be held on the day before the original event. The new event details are: Date: Saturday 6th June 2026.  Start Time: 10:30am.   Course T103 Scorton course.    Headquarters: East Cowton Village Hall.

16 August Cleveland Coureurs (incorporating the Teesside District 25 Championship) - Due to safety concerns on the further use of the A19 courses, this event is no longer on the A19 Crathorne/Knayton course.  An alternative course is to be used.  The new event details are: Date: Sunday 16th August 2026.  Start Time: 9am.   Course T254/1R Leeming/Sinderby course.    Headquarters: Leeming Village Hall.
