Open Category Highlights and Results

Nicholas Fennell continued his dominant season, adding the VTTA Kent 10 to his list of victories. He noted: “It was good to get another time trial in as it’s been six weeks since my last solo event. It felt a bit heavy on course and cooler than forecast, but I paced the ride pretty evenly. Thank you to the organisers and marshals.” VeloRefined Rule5 Aerosmiths riders Kevin Tye and Andrew Meilak secured second and third. On veteran age-adjusted times, Tye led with 18:28, followed by Nick Wilson (Rye & District Wheelers CC) at 18:52, and Meilak at 19:10.

Women's Category Highlights and Results

Maria Sparks secured the women’s win despite challenging circumstances, including limited sleep, minimal food, and a puncture during warm-up. She said: “This was my final planned local open time trial of the season. To say everything was stacked against me was an understatement! I had a sigh of relief when I crossed the finish line with a course best by a minute, in non-optimum weather conditions. Huge thanks to Bob for organising and all the marshals.” Tracy Wilkinson-Begg (Vanelli-Project GO) took second, followed by Rebecca Wilson (Rye & District Wheelers CC).
