There is only one month to go to the first Wednesday evening Cycle Time Trial’s (CTT) 10 mile time trials at Croft Motor Circuit.
Update of Arrangements and Changes from Previous Years
As in the past 6 years, the events, as the title suggests are “Come & Try It” and are open to all cyclists, whether members of a CTT affiliated club/team, a club or are just recreational riders. Please come along and give our 10 mile time trial on a closed motor circuit a try, you just may “enjoy” the experience. All are welcome, no matter whether you are 6 or 86, whether you ride a TT, road, gravel, cyclocross or mountain bike, a trike or a tandem.
First, the dates for the Wednesday evening summer series of events are:
20 April, 18 May, 15 June, 20 July, 17 August & 21 September,
all starting at 6:30pm. Sign on starts at 5:30pm
The Autumn Sunday event will be held on Sunday 23 October,
starting at 11am. Sign on starts at 10:15am
In a change from previous years, as well as on the night entry, entry via the website can be executed through either the CTT website or the Teesside website (Teesside Club Event Entry).
In an enhancement to the on-line entry system, you can also enter the Croft time trial events on-line, even if you are not a member of a club. You can also choose whether to pay online or on the evening at the event. Cash or card payment will be gratefully received on the night.
The good news is, despite facing increased organising costs, following discussion with the support team, the entry charge for 2022 has been held at £5 for under 16 and £8 for over 16.
For 2022, In a new CTT regulation, all riders must start the event with both a front and rear working light, affixed to their machines in appropriate positions. No light, no start. There will be both front and rear lights available each evening to borrow if you forget to attach yours. Just ask and collect when signing on.
