National 25-mile Champion John Archibald (WattShop) is due to make his debut open time trial appearance of the season in the fourth round of the Merlin Cycles Classic Series on Sunday.
The Loch Ken Open TT takes place over 23 miles, one lap of Loch Ken with 1,000 feet of climbing over the course, with the climb of New Galloway coming after halfway and Lauriston in the final miles.
James Pittard (Didcot Phoenix CC) has finished fourth in the previous two rounds and will hope to challenge Archibald.
Emily Meakin (AWOL O’Shea Worx) won three national titles in 2020 and heads the women’s field after winning her only other event so far this season.
She will face a challenge from Lynsey Curran (Dooleys RT) who will be hoping to use her local knowledge of the course to her advantage.
Honours are on the line on Saturday when a huge field of 150 riders travel to Cambridgeshire to take on the Eastern Counties CA Championships 25.
Taking place on the out and back A428 near Cambourne, John Wingfield (Team HUUB) has the privilege of starting last man.
Wingfield finished fourth in the National Road Bike Championships and also won the Team Milton Keynes 20 last month in 43-20.
Paul Pardoe (Peterborough CC) comes into the event unbeaten with four wins in 2022 including a time of 20-03 in the ECCA 10.
With two wins to his name this campaign and clocking 20-15 in the Great Yarmouth 10 last month Lloyd Chapman (Loose Cannon's Conditioning) will be aiming for more success.
Veteran rider Liam Maybank (Twickenham CC) could provide tough competition after finishing third on his last two outings while Keith Dorling (Team Bottrill) and Matt O’Brien (Loose Cannon's Conditioning) could also challenge.
The women’s event is also set to be a competitive contest which could see little to separate the leading riders.
Laura Thomas (Stowmarket & District CC) starts last after finishing second in the ECCA 10 recording a time of 23-21.
Under-23 rider Zoe Burrell (Cambridge University CC) comes into the event in good form and has a personal best of 23-04 while Bethany Spencer (Kettering CC) and veteran Hannah O’Brien (Loose Cannon's Conditioning) could also challenge.
The Royal Navy Championship over 10 and 25 miles takes place over two days organised by St Piran/Northover Vets Team.
Joshua Clark (Royal Navy & Royal Marines CA) is back to defend both titles he won last season clocking 19-39 over 10 miles and 51-11 in the 25.
Hoping for a fast Sunday to boost their times a field of 92 riders are heading to Cumbria to compete in the East Lancashire Road Club 10.
Long distanced specialist Tom Hutchinson (Team Bottrill) starts as last man while Anna Weaver (Team Kirkley Cycles) is the final woman starter.
