Photo: With a full field of 180 riders the Chronos RT 10 in Cambridgeshire is one of many events taking place this weekend.
A quality field are due to take place on the out and back A428 course near Cambourne on Saturday afternoon with riders praying to the weather gods for fine conditions.
Michael Gill (Saint Piran) has the prestige of starting last man after finishing second in the National Circuit Championships last month.
Gill also clocked a time of 18-26 to win the Zeus CRT 10 in May on the M101 in the North East.
Ashley Cox (Team Bottrill) has five wins to his name this season and is amongst the challengers along with Ollie Hucks (Nopinz Motip Race Team) and Russell Hampton (Onimpex Bioracer RT).
In the women’s event Sophie Lankford (Jadan CycleSpace- Vive Le Velo) starts last after recording 24-40 in the Hartlepool CC 10 in May.
After finishing fourth in the National 100 earlier this month Jennifer George (The Independent Pedaler – Nopinz) will return to action in Saturday morning’s Sussex CA 10 (Centenary 10).
George will be looking to improve on her 20-41 posted in the East Anglian VTTA 10 last month.
Veteran Mark Smith (Crawley Wheelers) will start as last man on the out and back G10/92 near Crawley.
A close fight for women’s honours is expected in the Victoria CC 10.2 which also includes a 2-up event near Saffron Walden.
Under-23 rider Emily Knight (Bishop's Stortford CC) is the first rider away and will face competition from Isabella Johnson (Datalynx-Parenesis Cycling) and veteran Jayne Paine (Les Filles Racing Team) amongst others.
Benedict Thompson (Team LDN) is scratch rider having won the first of four events on the same E1/10A course clocking 21-45 on that occasion.
The Manchester & District Ladies CA invitational 10 has attracted a strong field taking place on the out and back J2/3 near Holmes Chapel.
Paralympic Games hopeful tandem pilot Adam Duggleby (Chapeau! Vive Le Velo) will be riding indivually and starting as scratch man.
Duggleby suffered a rare defeat last weekend in the Rossington Wheelers 10 despite setting a time of 19-38 in hot conditions.
This time he will face the Manchester Bicycle Club duo of Alexander Royle and Alistair Rutherford.
Royle clocked 19-08 earlier this season on his way to winning the Kent Valley RC 10.
The women’s event has also attracted a competitive field with Charlotte Boothman (Team Lusso) starting last looking to improve on her 22-42 in the Mid Shropshire Wheelers 10.
The Chorley CC 10 near Garstang has attracted a strong entry of 93 riders who are settle to battle it out on the L101.
Once again the women’s event is set to be a close battle with the Team Merlin duo of Deborah Moss and Rebecca Rimmington set to take on Erica Booth (Lancashire RC) and Joanna Cebrat (Bury Clarion CC).
Patrick Hickey (Rossendale RC) won the Kent Valley RC 25 earlier this season and starts as last man.
Starting early on Sunday morning in Shropshire the SCCA & WCTTCA 100 has attracted strong men’s and women’s fields.
Lizi Duncombe (Socks4Watts Race Team) makes her first appearance since placing third in the National 100 earlier this month clocking 3-54-41 to win bronze.
She will have to be on form as Michelle Fairclough (Salford Cycling Club), Emily Martin (Weaver Valley CC) and Janet Fairclough (Liverpool Phoenix CC Aintree) are amongst her competitors.
Daniel McParland (Tri Preston) starts as last man having clocked 3-46-04 in the North Lancashire Time Trial Association 100.
The Independent Pedaler – Nopinz duo of Christopher Fennell and Alex Clay will be looking to add to their winning tallies in the Thanet RC 10 near Herne Bay.
Liam Maybank (Twickenham CC) starts as last man in the Hampshire Road Club 25 on Sunday which has attracted a field of 120 riders.
Veteran Christopher McNamara (Nuun-Sigma Sport-London RT) is one to beat having won all nine of his individual rides this season.
Felix Wilkinson (Tetbury Velos) is among the other competitors along with Samuel Wadsley (Primera-Teamjobs) who won last week’s Bournemouth Jubilee Wheelers 25.
Veteran Angela Carpenter (...A3crg) will be looking to continue her successful season in the women’s event but will have to see off competition from fellow age group rider Sally Turner (TrainSharp).
Also looking for women’s honours is Anastasia Bolwer (AS Test Team) who posted 21-04 in the Hemel Hempstead 10 last month, while Jennifer George (The Independent Pedaler – Nopinz) will also be in the mix.
National 100 Champion Joanna Patterson (The Independent Pedaler – Nopinz) will be back in action this Sunday closer to home in the Glasgow Nightingale CC 10.
Taking place on a coastal course near the Port of Glasgow, Charlotte Stevens (Ayr Roads CC) will be last woman starter.
In a field of 120 men veteran Douglas Watson (GTR - Return To Life) will start last man, but will have to see off the formidable challenge of professional rider John Archibald (Eolo Kometa).
Fresh from winning the National 24 Hour Championships last weekend Robbie Mitchell (Auchencrow Thistle CC) will also be in action.
Welsh Championship honours will be up for grabs this weekend in the Welsh CA 30 taking place between Abergavenny and Monmouth.
Tom Ward (AeroLab Ward WheelZ) won the Redditch Road & Path CC 10 last weekend in 18-58 and will start scratch man.
However, Christopher Gibbard (Bynea Cycling Club) has five wins to his name this season and will be tough to beat while George Evans (Team Bottrill) has also been on form this season.
Rebecca Richardson (Team Brother UK) will start last in the women’s event but will have a host of challengers to beat for honours.
