Photo: Anna Morris (Southampton Univ RC) and David Janes (Wheels of Dorset) were victorious in the Welsh 10-Mile Championships, staged near Raglan on Sunday.
Wiltshire-based Janes clocked 19-05 to win the Pontypool RCC promotion in Monmouthshire, ten seconds quicker than runner-up George Evans (Team Bottrill).
And Morris covered the course in 21-40 to win the women’s title by a minute from Stephanie Post (Team Bottrill).
And the junior titles went to Joshua Sandman (Team Backstedt) and Charlotte Mitchell (Newport Phoenix CC).
In Kent, in-form duo Charmaine Pullen (Folkestone Velo) and Chris Fennell (The Independent Pedaler) were victorious once again in the Medway Velo Club 50 near Brenzett.
Fennell clocked 1-41-37 and led his brother Nic to a one-two by almost five minutes, while Pullen covered the Q50/11 in 2-09-15 which gave her 17th overall and the win by 5-46 from Caro Harper (Brixton CC).
In Hertfordshire, Tracey van der Merwe and Ross Clarke took victory in the Finsbury Park 25 on Sunday.
TMG Horizon rider Clarke clocked 52-59 to win by 2-42, while van der Merwe (Finchley RT) covered the F10/25 course near Ware in 1-07-02 to win by almost a minute.
Denise Hurren and Andy Proffitt reaped the rewards after battling through a tough, undulating course in the Diss & District 25 on Sunday.
Proffitt (Ipswich BC) clocked 53-30 to pip Daniel Bloy (Team Velovelocity) by 28 seconds, while Hurren covered the Bressingham course in 1-01-51.
In South Yorkshire, Simon Beldon (Team Bottrill-Vanguard) stormed to another victory in the Tickhill Velo 10 near Hatfield Woodhouse, clocking 20-18 to win by 28 seconds from team-mate Daniel Barnett, while Team Wiggins pro Joey Walker was third.
Fiona Sharp (Team Swift) was fastest female, her time of 23-37 being 25 seconds better than Sian Randall (Team Jadan-Weldtite).
And in Scotland Douglas Watson (GTR Return to Life) was victorious in his own club’s 10-mile time trial in North Ayrshire, while Patricia Baird (Inverclyde Velo) was fastest solo female.
Watson clocked 19-57 to win by seven seconds from Adam Wild (GS Metro), while Alan Thomson (RT23) was third. And Baird covered the course in 24-27 to win by 29 seconds.
In preparation for the National Team Time Trial Championships next weekend Blaydon CC saw both their men’s and women’s team clinch victory in the North Tyneside Riders 4-up Team Time Trial.
Local knowledge proved key for the men’s quartet of Justin Ramel, Steven Craggs, Julian Macbride and Hedley Fletcher who clocked the fastest time of 56 minutes and 15 seconds to take victory by over two and a half minutes.
In Lancashire, Philip Jones and Katie Lukas took close victories in the Lancashire Road Club 10 near Catterall on Saturday.
27-year-old Jones (Transition RT) was victorious in 20-07, ten seconds quicker than Richard Bideau (Pendle Forest CC), while Lukas (Beacon Wheelers) covered the course in 22-57.
