Entries are being accepted for the South Pennine RC event on Saturday 29th July on the A25/11 at Etwall, start time of 14:00.

2017 is the inaugural event where the first rider will be awarded the Joe Summerlin Trophy, to be presented at Champions Night on Saturday 13th January 2018.

The event is paper entry only (can be downloaded from the website) and require sending with payment to

The closing date for entries is 18th July.

Joe Summerlin was a long serving member of Central District and of the Board of Directors.

He also worked for UKAD and acted as liaison between CTT and U.K. Anti-Doping.

He had a vast knowledge and was highly regarded.

He had a smile which lit up a room and everyone who came into contact with him was richer for the experience.  He is and always will be sorely missed.

Joe Summerlin was a very special person to CTT and cycling in general. His death left us all a little bit poorer but we were better for having known him. CTT have put have purchased a memorial

trophy in his honour.  This trophy will be awarded annually to a specific event and this year that is the South Pennine Road Club event on July 29.

I invite all riders who him to enter and ride in his honour.
