Event Description:

Are you curious about this years CTT National 10, would you like to ride it from the comfort of your own home, train on it or merely fancy a weekly race on it ?

South DC has organised a weekly series of rides/races held on an online virtual version of the 2021 National 10 course every Monday at 7pm. This will provide the opportunity for riders to preview, race or just train on the course that you’d be racing on later this year on the 11th/12th September on the new P454/10 course (note: the closing date for the real thing is 17th August). The virtual version is an identical copy of the real course with all of the same gradients and bends as you’ll find in this year’s national champs. These events will be held on RGT every Monday at 7pm from Monday 5th July until Monday 6th September (10 events in total). You can find the events by searching for:

How to find the events: Search in the RGT app for ‘CTT National 10m TT Champs sim’ or go to RGT and look under ‘events’ or go to www.RGTDB.com, look under ‘events’ and see there.

Procedure to take part

Firstly, you’ll need a device that records your cycling power output. A ‘smart trainer’ or power meter will do this and will be needed to take part. You’ll then need to download the RGT app to access and take part in this event. This is available online via your smart phone. You’ll need two devices for this software to operate. One is a smart phone (that drives the app) and the other is a computer or laptop (which is your screen).

Download both from here: https://www.rgtcycling.com/get-started/

To find the race event, go to the event link provided. You can enter whenever you like in the days and weeks ahead of it and it should be stored there ready for you to click to enter the race on the day of the event in the app.

IMPORTANT: It’s best (and less stressful) to be in the event at least 10 minutes before it starts otherwise you may not be able to log in to it. Once it is 7pm, the race will start and the event link will no longer work and will prevent riders from joining.
