James Boyman

James Boyman rode to his first victory of the season in the men’s event at the Charlotteville CC 25-mile time trial in Surrey on Sunday morning, with Hilary Briggs the fastest woman over the course.

In clocking 49-56, Boyman comfortably beat Worthing Excelsior CC rider Joe Parker who finished in 51-31, while Michael Nagi (Team Bottrill) clocked 51-57 for third place in a hotly-contested event with 30 riders ultimately completing the course.

Serpentine Running Club’s Hilary Briggs took first place in the women’s event in 1:05-12, with the other female entrants not riding.

Hoops Velo rider Boyman had finished runner-up at his previous two events this season, the Farnborough & Camberley CC 10-mile time trial on March 4 and the Farnborough & Camberley CC 25-mile time trial on April 15, but now has a first win to his name since the Sussex CA 10-mile time trial in August 2022.

This 25-mile event, run on the H25/8 course, takes riders along the A31 between Holybourne and Farnham.
