Chris Fennell

Christopher Fennell and Kate Allan were fastest male and fastest female respectively at the Paceline RT 10-mile time-trial in Greatham, Hampshire, on Saturday afternoon.

In the men’s event Fennell, riding for The Independent Pedaler – Nopinz, set an unmatched 17-33 to take victory ahead of trainSharp’s Sam Clark who was almost a minute back in 18-27, while Christopher McNamara (Nuun-Sigma Sport-London RT) took the final podium spot in 18-30.

Team Bottrill’s Allan was quickest in the women’s event, stopping the clock on 20-11 while Jennifer George (The Independent Pedaler – Nopinz) was just 10 seconds back in 20-21 to take the runner-up spot and Storey Racing’s Anya Tamplin registered 20-48 for third place.

Preparing for the National Closed Circuit Championship next weekend, Fennell continues to enjoy a fine year with 10 victories from 12 races so far.

This event, run on the P881/10 course, starts must south of Greatham on the B3006 and turns northbound onto the A3 past Longmoor Ranges until the Liphook Flyover, where riders retrace the outwards route and finish just north of the start line.
