TO THE START FROM THE HQ
Turn right outside of the HQ then right at the first roundabout. Continue for one mile crossing the canal to a T-junction at Orgreave. Turn right on to the A513 towards Alrewas and the A38. The start is on the left two miles further on at the canal bridge. You should allow 20 minutes to ride to the start from the HQ.
NUMBERS
Numbers and Sign On will be at the HQ. Exchange your number for a free drink after the event.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
IN THE INTERESTS OF YOUR OWN SAFETY Cycling Time Trials and the Event Promoter strongly advise you to wear a HARD SHELL HELMET that meets an internationally accepted safety standard. In accordance with CTT Regulation 15 ALL JUNIOR competitors must wear a Hard Shell Helmet.
It is recommended that a working red rear light, either flashing or constant, is fitted to your machine in a position visible to following road users and is active while the machine is in use.
Please keep talking to a minimum at the finish and shout your number out quietly so as not to upset the dogs at ‘Jesfire’.
SPECIAL NOTE
On the day of the event there is also a local triathlon involving a number of road closures from 7am onwards. Principally these comprise the A515 and B5017 west of Burton. Riders should allow extra time to drive to the event HQ if coming from that direction.
In addition riders should be aware that there will be a consequent increase in road traffic on the A38 during the event and that extra care and vigilance is strongly advised.
