Hayley Rigby (Clapham Chasers) and Paul Burton (Paceline RT) were winners at the Redhill CC sporting 18-mile time trial staged near Dorking in Surrey on Sunday morning.

Rigby, the 31-year-old from London who rides for Clapham Chasers, clocked 50-49 to place 14th overall and finish as fastest female by some way, Kingston Wheelers’ veteran Teresa Goddard being second and only other woman riding.

41-year-old Burton’s time of 40.41 was his fastest in several attempts at the event, and gave him the win by 40 seconds from Twickenham CC rival Liam Maybank, with Paceline RT team-mate Pat Wright taking third, 1-03 behind colleague Burton.

The event uses an anti-clockwise loop starting to the west of Westcott and heading out towards Abinger Hammer on the Guildford Road before turning south through Holmbury St Mary and on to Walliswood and Okewood Hill.

Riders then head back up through Ockley and Beare Green and finish near North Holmwood.
