Bryce Dyer (Bournemouth Cycleworks) was the quickest man in the Bournemouth Arrow 10-mile time trial, while Kym Harvey (Fareham Wheelers) was the winner of the women’s event.

Veteran rider Dyer headed the field stopping the clock in 21 minutes and 11 seconds, a time that saw him finish at least 20 seconds quicker than any other participant.

His nearest rival was Matthew Buckley (VC St Raphael) who clocked a time of 21-33. Occupying the final podium spot was Steven Pink (Poole Wheelers CC), his final time was 21-41.

This was the first win of the season for Dyer, his last podium finish came in his last open time trial, in the Bournemouth Arrow 10 on the very course. Finishing third last time out, this event he was able to improve on not only his position but his time also, as he went around the course 17 seconds quicker than last time.

In the women’s event it was Harvey that came out on top, completing the P311 course in 26 minutes and 21 seconds

In second place was Michelle Walter, of the promoting club, she was just over a minute off the pace coming in at 27-27. While in third place was Sarah Inwood (Poole Wheelers CC) who clocked a time of 27-42.

Coming into this event Harvey had been on the podium in two of the three prior events, both of those finishes being third position. A win here goes nicely as Harvey awaits confirmation on her participation in the National Closed Circuit Championships that take place in just under two months from now.

The tandem winners were Steve and Christine Walker (Leamington C&AC) as they completed the course in 29-27.

Meanwhile, the two-up event was won by Ryan Weston and Dan Newman (Poole Wheelers CC), their time was 22-50.

The road bike event winners were Dave Dent (GS Stella) and Sien Van Der Plank (New Forest CC), their times being 23:08 and 26:23 respectively.
