James Jenkins

James Jenkins (Richardson-Trek RT) was the winner of the Eastern Counties CA 10-mile time trial, while in the women’s event it was Louise Robinson (Essex Roads CC) that went fastest.

Scratch-man Jenkins won the event in style, being the only rider to go sub-18 minutes. 17:42 was his final time - a new personal best for the senior rider.

In joint second place was Piotr Zulawski (Didcot Phoenix CC) as he came in just over a minute off the pace at 18:53 and Paul Pardoe (Peterborough CC) mirrored that time.

An honourable mention goes out to Oscar Nilsson-Julien (Team Inspired) whose final time was 23:40, though he was hit with a six minute late start due to an accident on the M11 otherwise he would have finished in 17:40 - a time that would have won him the event.

Louise Robinson

This year Jenkins has participated in five events, this being the fifth. He has won all of them, this being his fastest time of the year. Next on his calendar is the East Anglian VTTA 25 which he is awaiting confirmation for.

For the women, Louise Robinson was quickest as she rode a time of 21:56.

Second was Karen Aylen (Maldon & Dist CC) who clocked a final time of 23:02. Following her time was Kirsty McSeveney (a3crg), she completed the course in 23:59.

There were two solo events on the day, one that has preference for faster riders and one with preference to slower riders, Claire Emons (a3crg) competed as the only woman in the event for slower entry times and finished with a time of 22:09 which was the second fastest female time of the event.

The winner of the event for riders with an entry time of 21 minutes or slower was Richard Harrison (Drag2zero), 20:44 his final time.

The tandem winners were Mark and Russell Arnold (VTTA East Anglia) in a time of 20:46, while Colin Currie (Ely & Dist. CC) was the handicap winner with a time of 13:32. Ely & District CC were best team with a combined time of 1:40:48.
