In-form Chris Fennell (Thanet RC) stormed to another convincing victory, this time winning the Gravesend CC 25 in Kent on Sunday.

The 20-year-old – who broke the course record on the nearby Q25/10 a fortnight earlier – clocked 50.05 to win the Gravesend CC event by almost three minutes from Pete Tadros (In-Gear Quickvit RT), with Daniel Tolhurst (PMR at Toachim House) third, just two seconds behind Tadros.

In a close race, Nick Wilson (Rye and District Wheelers) clinched fourth by six seconds from Andrew Meilak (VeloRefined Aerosmiths) while Neil Harris (PMR at Toachim House) and Neil Lauder (4T+ Velo) were fifth and sixth respectively and just a handful of seconds further back.

Rye and District Wheelers were celebrating wins in the women and juniors categories with Rebecca Wilson clocking 1:11.47 to finish as fastest female, while Joshua Clark was fastest junior, five seconds under the hour mark.

Fennell led Thanet to the team prize, with ninth-placed Simon Henderson and Huck Garip completing their victorious trio.
