Soon after the Brighton Mitre 10 event, most of the riders took part in the hilly competition in the same location at the end of the day.

With the riders fully warmed up after a ride in the other event, they went on to enjoy good times in decent conditions.

It was Team ASL360’s Mark Emlsey who won with a time of 24.22. Having finished third in the 10 event early, In-Gear Quickvit Trainsharp RT’s Pete Tadros was second in 24.32. An impressive feat although he won three of the seven categories last year. Worthing Excelsior CC rider Pete Morris was third in 24.33.

Home club rider Sarah Phelps put in a fantastic performance to take the women’s win in 30.23 – a new event record by 44 seconds. The previous record had stood for 10 years.
