Start at the midpoint of the first lay-by on the A4061 mountain road heading away from Treherbert, approximately. 50 metres beyond the “New Road Garage” (51.677771,-3.540294). Exit lay-by in a northerly direction, proceeding in a northerly direction, taking care when crossing cattle-grid at 0.3 miles, whereupon bear left. Continue along A4061 mountain road, to a summit at 3.90 miles. Proceed to finish at near edge of lay-by just beyond the summit of the climb (51.716242,-3.555321).
