Description

Numbers will be at event HQ at Swainby Village Hall, DL6 3EG where RIDERS must sign on. Please do not park in the village. Parking is available in the large layby on the A172 approx 1/z mile west of Swainby and 1 mile east of the Cleveland Tontine. It is approximately 4 miles from this layby to the start - directions will be available in HQ. Riders are not to warm-up on any part of the course whilst the event is in progress. No turbo trainers are to be used within 100 metres of inhabited properties. In the interests of your own safety, Cycling Time Trials and the event promoters strongly advise that you wear a HARD SHELL HELMET. Regulation 15 in the current CTT Handbook states that ALL competitors under the age of 18 years MUST wear a properly-affixed helmet that conforms to a recognised standard such as SNELL B95, ANSI Z90.4, AUS/NZ/2063.96, DINC 33-954, CPSC, EN 1078. It is recommended that a working rear light is fitted to the machine in a position visible to following road users and is active whilst the machine is in use. First rider off at 14.08. HEAD UP AND HAVE A SAFE RIDE. Thanks to BAR 516, Hartlepool Marina's popular cafe/bar for their generous sponsorship of this event. Thanks to all who have assisted in the organisation of this event. #NOTE 1. The course is not the advertised T102 starting in Crathorne. It is T102/1, starting on Thimbleby Lane, which is southbound on the A19 approx 2.5 miles south of the Tontine and a few hundred yards north of the Haynes Arms. Best access is from the A19. The junction is signposted Thimbleby 1. 2. There are currently roadworks on the return (northbound) section of the course. The planned status on Saturday is that both lanes will be open but there will be a 400 metre stretch on which the top tarmac will not have been laid. This section must be ridden with extra care. Further details will be available in the HQ before the event 3. It is approximately 4 miles from the recommended parking area to the event start.
