H.Q. Buckfastleigh Town Hall, Bossell Rd – Parking at HQ – please park considerately to leave room for all riders
The start is approximately 3.5 miles from the HQ – please allow sufficient time (20 minutes minimum). From HQ entrance turn right towards Dart Bridge. At Dart Bridge turn right onto the A38 towards Plymouth. Climb towards Rattery where take slip road on the left before turning right over the bridge to turn right back onto A38 (TAKE CARE) towards Exeter. Start is approximately 0.75m down the hill.
Under no circumstances are riders to cross the dual carriageway.
After finish continue along A38 to climb to Rattery and retrace as above. Do not cross the carriageway.
HELMETS ARE MANDATORY AS A CONDITION OF ENTRY
Helmets that meet CTT Regulation 15, Page 363 of the 2012 CCT Handbook must be worn by all competitors in this event. NO helmet means NO ride. It is the rider’s responsibility to ensure that their helmet meets the necessary standard.
Signing on and Numbers will be available at the event H.Q. Fit any arm numbers to the LEFT arm. Exchange your number for a drink after finishing.
RIDERS PLEASE BE WARNED
Dangerous riding causes accidents and could endanger the future of the sport.
Remain on the correct, left hand side, at junctions
Please ride with your head up at all times - observe the Highway Code – do not 'WHITE LINE'.
Give way or stop when required to do so. Observe the local regulations pertinent to the course.
Avoid unnecessary U-turns in the road, even when warming up and especially after finishing your ride.
Observe CTT regulations especially those relating to company riding and to following vehicles.
Mobile and stationary observers have been appointed for this event and will act if riders are seen in contravention of CTT Regulations or the Highway Code.
