• IN THE INTERESTS OF YOUR OWN SAFETY Cycling Time Trials and the event promoters strongly advise you to wear a HARD SHELL HELMET that meets an internationally accepted safety standard. Juniors MUST wear a hard shell helmet
• Cycling Time Trials recommends that you affix – and use – a fixed or flashing rear light whilst racing.
Reserve course D30/10
Owing to major road works at Shawbirch the reserve course is in use. Riders are advised that the North Shropshire Wheelers Club 10 (Using the A49) was already approved before the road works were announced, and thus there is a chance that you may encounter a rider in competition in this event whilst negotiating the far turn of Prees island only. Please be aware of this - riders of both events are being warned of this chance, and if you encounter a crossing rider you must cede right of way using the normal rules of the road.
• Start at give way line from unclassified road signposted "Ellerdine & Rowton" north of Waters Upton (SJ628197)
• Proceed north along A442 to Espley Island (Hodnet) 5.15
• Turn right to A53, taking the third exit to proceed towards Tern Hill island 8.48
• At Tern Hill island turn left, taking 1st exit to proceed W on A41 to Prees roundabout 15.48
• Encircle roundabout (POTENTIAL FOR CROSSING RIDER) taking 4th exit to return E on A41 to Tern Hill roundabout 22.48
• Turn right, taking 3rd exit to proceed SW on A53 to Hodnet (Espley) roundabout 25.82
• Turn left, taking 1st exit to proceed S on A442 to FINISH two yards beyond junction to Middle Lane which is opposite Cold Hatton retirement home 30.00
