start on west end 500m outside long whatton. proceed west over the a42 and towards diseworth. after 1.4 miles turn left up diseworth hill, continue on this road for a further 1.45 miles before turning right onto gelscoe lane immediately after passing under the a42. after 0.7 miles when you reach the a453/a42 roundabout take the first exit onto top brand. proceed along top road for 2.2 miles until you reach the crossroads. at the crossroads turn left onto the b5324 (ashby road) and continue on this road for 4.25 miles until you reach the finish situated at the ‘t junction’ and ‘horses’ signs before smithy lane
