THE battle for the British Best All-Rounder Series continues this weekend with more than a dozen events being staged across the country giving riders chances to bag qualifying times.

The season-long competition pits riders against each other using their average speed over a range of distances from ten miles to 12-hour events.

Saturday sees two 50-mile events being held, with Congleton CC’s event near Cranage in Cheshire in the morning then the Cardiff 100 Miles RCC 50-miler in the afternoon near Abergavenny.

Both have attracted good fields across the categories. Jack Levick (Rose RT) is tipped to be fastest at the Congleton CC event, while junior Maxwell Hereward (360 cycling) not far behind.

And over in South Wales veteran Claire Hann (Bristol South CC) should be on for the win in the Cardiff 100 Miles RCC event according to Spindata, with Roxy Woodfield (Ludlow Brewery RC) and Emma Bexson (Stratford CC) both also aiming for the podium.

The following day it’s the Veterans TTA British 30-Mile Championships near Auchtermuchty in Fife, where GTR-Return to Life team-mates Dougie Watson and Marc Anderson are expected to be among the fastest riders.
