CTT NATIONAL COUNCIL AGM – SUNDAY 4 DECEMBER 2022

As you will know, the CTT National Council AGM was held on Sunday 4 December with delegates present, representing all 21 Districts.  As a result of the business conducted on the day, please be aware of the following outputs from the meeting:-

1. Chair

Andrea Parish was elected as Chair of CTT and will serve for 3 years.

2. Board of Directors

Roger Wakeling, David Barry and Steve Burrows were elected as Directors and will serve for 3 years.  Robin Field was elected as a Director and will serve for 2 years.

3. Appeals Panel

The following people were elected to the Appeals Panel:-

Nick Dunkley; Rachael Elliott; Phil Heaton; John Longbottom; Chris Worsfold; Chris Dyason; Paul Wheeler; Mark Jones; Ryan Morley

4. Motion Proposals

The following proposals were passed successfully:-

Item 7 – Article 7 – Subscriptions and Fees

CTT subscriptions and fees will be revised as follows:-

Affiliation/Reaffiliation Fee - £60 (VAT inclusive)

Advertising Fee - £100 (VAT inclusive)

Re-joining fee - £40 (VAT inclusive)

This will be effective from 1st January 2023.

Item 9 – Regulation 10 (Gender Categories)

The board shall have the power to amend the policy of the company within regulation 10.

Item 11 – Regulation 14 (Competitor’s Machine)

New section in regulation 14 which prohibits the use of machines containing additional motor power sources for propulsion.

Item 14 – Regulation 14 (Competitor’s Machine)

This will be expanded to include the Road Bike Criteria agreed at the AGM.

*Item 15 – Regulation 26 – Limitation of Entries

This will be amended to include an element of selection by Guaranteed Entry (GE) being permissible in events (excepting RTTC Championships).

*Item 19 – The RTTC British Best All-Rounder Competition Conditions

There was considerable discussion re this item and amendments suggested prior to the meeting were considered as part of this proposed item.

*Both items of 15 and 19 were passed at the AGM and introduction of these motions will be further discussed with a view to implementation during 2023.

Item 22 – Special Resolution to Amend Article 5.1

Item 23 – Special Resolution to Amend Article 5.4

A handbook for 2023 will be produced and any further revisions to the handbook published as updates accordingly.
