Andrew Feather earned a dominant victory at the Velo Club Cumbria (Whinlatter) hill climb up Braithwaite How in Cumbria on Saturday morning.

A time of 6-39 helped Feather (HuntBikeWheels.com) see off a challenge from Wheelbase CabTech rider Andy Cunningham who crossed the line in 7-14, while third place went to Velo Club Cumbria’s Martin Mikkelson-Barron in 7-21.

Elsewhere, Garan Comley set 9-21 to win the Fastest Veteran 40 category, with Colin Atkinson winning the Fastest Veteran 50+ group in 7-45.

The top two Juvenile spots went to George Hodgkinson (Chorley Cycling Club) in 8-19, while Ted Birkbeck (Kendal Cycle Club) was second in 8-37.

Victory continues an impressive run of form for former national champion Feather, having earned success at Sid Valley CC hill climb on September 11, with another triumph at the Minehead Cycling Club Porlock Hill Climb a week later, alongside two further wins at Cheltenham & County Cycling Club and Exeter Wheelers CC in September.

This event, run on the L824 course, starts close to Braithwaite village about two miles west of Keswick and finishes 30 yards short of entrance to Whinlatter Forest Park Visitor Centre, with a total distance of 1.75 miles.
