Welland Valley Cycling Club is organising a round of the Northants & District Cycle Association (N&DCA) series  on Sunday 6th April.  The event is on the Medbourne 9.5 course, and is also a qualifying event for WVCC's  Club Championship Trophies.

About the course:

  • A very quiet rural course with not much flat riding, so pace judgment plays a big part in success as the course rolls up and down repeatedly before a fast finishing stretch after the last turn.

  • To note in your recce: Don’t go mad at the start! It climbs then drags before a steep fast descent with a bend which can surprise the unwary before a right angle turn at the bottom. The descent into and ride through Horninghold needs care.

There is very limited parking, so local riders are urged to ride out to the event if at all possible.

Because it is an Open Time Trial, entry is via Cycling Time Trials only, and entries close on Tuesday 25th March.  You can find the entry link here: https://www.cyclingtimetrials.org.uk/events/32149-northampton-district-cycling-association-9-5-tt-series-2-of-8

N&DCA celebrates its 90th anniversary in 2025, and there is a series of local events you can enter.
