16hrs per week flexi (working as required) – it should be noted that the nature of our sport will dictate some fluctuation in hours from week to week and occasional weekend hours

Main purposes of job

 

1. To be the legal and corporate lead and representative for CTT, supporting staff, directors, and those involved in “running the sport”

2. To ensure CTT operates in a legally compliant manner that encourages growth of the sport and sustainability of the business

3. To assist the staff and directors with the development of the sport

Key tasks

 

1. Support district secretaries with any legal or disciplinary matters that arise. This would include organising any appeals hearings

2. Be the main contact and source of support for district secretaries in matters that concern the police and highways authorities

3. Liaise with UK Anti-Doping as and when required and facilitate controls at CTT events

4. Manage accident reports and referrals to the insurers/assessors in the event of a claim.

5. Support the board, CTT staff and other stakeholders with issues that may arise in the everyday running of the business

 

Essential requirements

 

 

 

  • To understand the sport of cycling time trials
  • Good knowledge of the Articles, Rules and Regulations that are used to govern the sport
  • Strong understanding of basic company law and experience in implementation
  • Experience of accident reporting and completion of relevant documentation
  • Basic understanding of the data protection legislation
  • Basic understanding of equality legislation requirements

 

Desirable requirements

  • Experience of dealing with insurance claims and the ability to liaise with the relevant stakeholders to ensure a timely outcome
  • Experience of drafting legal agreements
  • Experience of working in a legal advisory capacity
