After battling out honours in the National Circuit Championships last weekend a host of the country’s fast men and women are due to meet again in the Hemel Hempstead 10 on Saturday.

Thomas Day (SEG Racing Academy) finished third in last weekend’s championships and will be hoping to win over the shorter distance.

However, Ollie Hucks (Nopinz Motip Race Team) and Richard Oakes (Team Ohten Aveas) are amongst a host of riders in top form looking to challenge.

Ken Buckley (Nuun-Sigma Sport-London RT) is taking on his first event for 20 months and starts as scratch man.

Meanwhile, Alice Lethbridge (Drag2Zero) is making just her second outing of the season in the women’s event.

She faces stiff competition on the A41 near Aylesbury from Francesca Hall (Loughborough Lightning / TRG) and Sally Turner (TrainSharp) amongst others.

Racing returns to Scotland this weekend after a long Covid enforced break with the VC Glasgow South 10 on Saturday.

A field of 88 riders will be competing on the A77 south of Glasgow with Silas Goldsworthy (Ryan's Bike Surgery - Thomson Homes) starting as last man in preparation for next week’s National Time Trial Championships.

The Independent Pedaler – Nopinz team-mates Jennifer George and Joanna Patterson will go head-to-head for the women’s honours.

After taking a host of national titles last season John Archibald (Eolo Kometa) returns from the professional road racing scene to ride the Northampton & District CA 15.

Archibald’s only other open time trial outing this season has been in the Northampton & District CA 25, which he won in 48-56 over three minutes faster than his nearest rival.

Meanwhile, the women’s event sees veteran Stephanie Cousins (QN Racing) take on Charlotte Bell (London Fields Triathlon Club) amongst others.

Megan Dickerson (Škoda DSI Cycling Academy) starts as last rider in Saturday’s The University of Bristol Cycling Club 10.

On her last outing on the U7B course Dickerson finished eighth overall clocking 21-46 and starts a weekend double of events.

Veteran Nick English (AeroCoach), Nick Livermore (Bristol South Cycling Club) and Oscar Hutchings (Team Tor 2000 | KALAS) will also have their eyes on overall glory in Berkeley in Gloucestershire.

Long distance events start early on Sunday morning with the FTP Racing 100 taking place near Swindon over five laps of a course, also including a road bike category.

Jake Sargent (Fulfil The Potential Racing) starts as scratch man and Megan Dickerson (Škoda DSI Cycling Academy) is the last woman starter.

The Wessex Road Club 50 takes place near Bournemouth with Samuel Wadsley (Primera-Teamjobs) starting as scratch rider.

Meanwhile, Christopher McNamara (Nuun-Sigma Sport-London RT) and Sally Turner (TrainSharp) will be tough to beat in the East Sussex CA 50 taking place near Uckfield.

After winning the Bynea CC 50 last weekend Christopher Gibbard (Bynea Cycling Club) will be looking to continue his form in the West Wales Cyclists’ League 100 taking place at Llandovery.

He will face tough competition from Ben Lloyd (Fibrax Wrexham RC) amongst others, while Lloyd’s team-mate Frances Owen goes in the women’s event.

On a day for long distanced events Kirk Vickers (Holohan Coaching Race Team) starts as scratch man in the WCTTCA 50 in Shropshire.

Adam Wild

George Evans (Team Bottrill) will be amongst his challengers while veteran Rebecca Holland (Chester RC) is amongst the women’s riders.

National 100 Mile Champion, Adam Wild (GS Metro) is making his first outing of the season over the distance in the North Lancashire Time Trial Association 100 between Keswick and Cockermouth.

The women’s event also has a competitive field with veteran Christina Murray (Army Cycling) joined by Lizi Duncombe (Socks4Watts Race Team) amongst others.

World Tour rider Harry Tanfield (Team Qhubeka Assos) as back in action during Sunday’s Hartlepool CC/VTTA 25.

On an earlier outing this season Tanfield won the Hartlepool CC 10 clocking 19-44 and will be looking for a second open win on the out and back course near Middlesborough.

Marcel Schubert (Darlington Cycling Club) could provide tough opposition with three wins to his name already this season, while Sophie Lankford (Jadan CycleSpace- Vive Le Velo) starts as last woman.

The Farnham Road Club 25 sees 130 riders competing over five events on the A31 between Farnham and Alton including solo, two-up and four-up races.

The VTTA National 50 Mile Championships will see riders competing along the A428 near Cambourne.

Mark Smith (Crawley Wheelers) Weill start as last man having four wins to his name already this season while Claire Emons (Newbury RC) starts as scratch woman.

Mixed pairing Rachel Elliot and Ian Greenstreet (Crawley Wheelers) will be targeting further honours and records in the tandem event.

Alongside the championship event is The Viking 50 which will see Drag2Zero team-mates Alice Lethbridge and Lisa Davies battle it out for women’s honours along with veteran Angela Carpenter (…A3crg).

Amongst the men’s competitors are Darren Yarwood ((Chapeau! Vive Le Velo) and Barnabas Purbrook (Nuun-Sigma Sport-London RT).
