The Welsh CA Welsh Championship `25` on Sunday sees distance record-holder Marcin Bialoblocki (NOPINZ) looking to better his 44-04 National Competition record. He came close to it in the recent Ogmore Valley Wheelers event on the same course, the R25/3H. when he won with a 44-16.

Current champion Kieran Davies (Drag2Zero) defends and others in the field include George Evans (Team Bottrill-Vanguard) and Scot Burns (Drag2Zero) while Alice Lethbridge (Drag2Zero) and Andrea Parish (VeloSistas TT Team) chase the women’s title.

  Other `25s` include the Nelson Wheelers Charity event with Drag2Zero duo Ryan Perry and Mark Holton; VC Long Eaton’s    has Matthew Bottrill and Brett Harwood (Team Bottrill);  Chris Fennell (The Independent Pedaler), Bronwen Ewing (Rye &      District Wheelers) and women’s hill-climb champion Joscelin Lowden (Storey Racing) go for the Wigmore CC promotion.

 

 Simon Beldon (Team Bottrill-Vanguard) is down for the Drighlington BC `25` along with Peter Greenwood and Richard   Sharp of Team Swift, Christopher Demoulin (York Cycleworks) and Keith Murray (Drag2Zero); Ben Elliott (Paceline RT) and   Simon McNamara (South Downs Bikes) compete in the Sussex CA `25`

 

Moving on we have the Dukinfield CC `50` with a field that includes Mark Turnbull (TORQ Performance). Gethin Butler (Preston Wheelers) and Sarah Story and Monica Dew of Story Racing.

Butler also rides the Kent Valley RC Hill-climb along with Peter Greenwood and Richard Bideau (Pendle Forest CC), who also rides the Derwentside CC 38.6-mile event where the on -form Carl Donaldson and Danny Grieves (GS Metro) will be the ones to beat.

 

Dulwich Paragon’s 18.6-mile time trial has a strong women’s entry including Ruth Purbrook (Ful-On-Tri), Toni Wilkes (London Women’s Racing CC), and Janet Bassett (Team Bottrill-Vanguard).
