Gapped Cycling was born from a simple belief: everyone should have the opportunity to ride, regardless of background or experience. What started as a small group of passionate riders has grown into a movement, bringing cycling to communities across London and beyond.
The Gapped Race Team is the next step in that journey.
We’re breaking new ground in UK cycling by making competitive racing more accessible, inclusive, and aspirational. Our mission is simple: to normalise racing and create clear pathways from grassroots participation to elite performance.
In just two years, we’ve grown from a handful of riders into a full race team competing across the UK, from local criteriums to national series events. Many of our riders pinned on a number for the first time in a Gapped jersey, and we’re proud to support them with the coaching, structure, and belief to progress through the ranks.
Our race team is built on the same foundation as our community work. Through partnerships with local councils, schools, and organisations like British Cycling, we’re creating opportunities for riders to discover the sport, develop their skills, and take the leap into racing.
At Gapped, we’re not just building a team, we’re building a pathway, a platform, and a future for cycling that reflects the diversity of the communities we come from.
