Amy Sole claimed a dramatic victory by just one second over Judy Brown (Newmarket Cycling & Triathlon Club), finishing in 40:14. Brown, marking her fourth win of the season, said: “It was certainly a very narrow winning margin! The rain was quite relentless at times, with reduced visibility and a lot of spray, making for a tough day on the bike. I knew my first half was a bit too slow, so at the turnaround point I had to really dig deep to claw back some lost time.” Rita Rue (West Suffolk Wheelers) took third on a road bike.
