Islington Cycling Club is a friendly and diverse North London cycling club. Founded in 2013, we have quickly attracted over 900 members. We offer a wide range of rides, including numerous weekly club rides, training rides, club and open events, and cycling trips.

We use an online forum as a virtual clubhouse to organise ourselves as this allows all members to help shape our club. Our focus is road cycling, but there is a strong contingent riding cyclocross, gravel, and track. If there is another kind of cycling you want to try, ask on the forum to see what other members are doing.

Riding with a cycling club can seem daunting at first, so we require all new and prospective members to attend one of our Introductory Rides or Group Skills sessions. These are short club rides in which we look at things such as what to carry with you, how to ride in group formations, and what all those hand signals mean. Then we head off and do an easy-paced ride to practice, followed by a café stop. You can book on to these in the Clipping In section of our club forum.

Islington Cycling Club is affiliated to British Cycling and is a Go-Ride club, so we offer coaching for young people, 8-15 years old. Visit our Youth Riding page for more information.
