We are one of the larger clubs in the UK with over 600 members and our purpose is to promote the amateur sport of Cycling in Ilkley and the surrounding areas, and of community participation in the same area.
The core activity of the club is to provide regular organised rides available to all abilities, from beginners through to experienced riders. Rides are available most days of the week and all members can set up, advertise and join rides via our website.
We have a very active Youth section from the youngest learning to ride up to junior racing riders (16 – 18). We are happy for riders who have specific needs to join in and have good links with para cycling. ICC is a Go-Ride Club and we work with British Cycling to maintain standards of care (safeguarding) and to promote racing, higher level coaching and introduction to all the cycling disciplines including mountain biking.
Some ICC members are racing enthusiasts taking part in time trials, circuit racing, hill climbs, road racing and cyclo cross. We also organise the Ilkley Town Centre Races each summer.
Our other major annual event is the White Rose Classic, a non-competitive sportive led by club volunteers providing a choice of three challenging routes of between 50 and 110 miles through the Yorkshire Dales.
