Hambleton Road Club is a cycling club based in Northallerton, North Yorkshire. It is predominantly a road cycling club, but club members also participate in MTB, audax and cyclocross events.
Club rides are held on the first Saturday and third Sunday of each month throughout the year, starting at 09:00 outside Cowley Cycles in Zetland Street, Northallerton. Saturday rides are 40 - 50 miles at approximately 15 mph average speed and generally avoid tough hills. Sunday rides are 45 – 60 miles at approximately 15 mph average speed and may involve hills. All rides include a café stop. The club operates a Group Ride Etiquette to ensure safety and prevent riders from losing the group. Weekend club rides operate to a planned route, which is communicated to members in advance via e-mail and the Club’s Strava Group and can be downloaded to your GPS device.
Midweek rides are held more informally, normally on Wednesdays at 09:00, and are communicated via the Club Strava Group. Riders agree the route on the day.
