Almost completely flat, although it doesn't always feel like it! Single carriageway of reasonable width; variable surface, but rarely any huge holes. There are about 6.5 miles between the turn roundabouts, with the course completing two laps; with another roundabout in between, riders have to negotiate roundabouts seven times in total.
