Start on the A377 in the lay-by outside the entrance to Kings Nympton Railway Station and at a point level with the railway station sign (GR SS 169663)

Proceed Northwest passing the Portsmouth Arms and Umberleigh to Bishops Tawton.  On entering Bishops Tawtontake the second turning on the right after passing the garage (GR SS 299568) – Take great care when crossing the traffic flow – proceed and bear left at Village Street.  At the next junction turn sharp left with care and downhill and then left again back onto the A377.  Retrace outward route through Umberleigh and past the Portsmouth Arms to finish approximately 1 mile short of the start. 

The finish point is opposite the southern end of the second long lay-by on the long straight (GR SS 183649)
