Start as at lamppost R6 opposite the entrance to Eglinton Park. Proceed to roundabout and take first exit to join A78 southbound. Take first exit (Warrix Interchange) and join A71 eastbound (sign-posted Kilmarnock). Continue straight ahead at Corsehill Mount roundabout and proceed to turn at second roundabout (Moorfield roundabout). Turn and retrace to Warrix Interchange and take first exit to join A78 southbound (sign-posted Ayr). Continue straight ahead at Meadowhead (Papermill) roundabout. Take first exit sign-posted Troon. Turn right at bottom of slip road and proceed under A78 to T-junction and turn left. At top of hill turn left onto northbound A78 (sign-posted Greenock). Continue straight ahead at Meadowhead roundabout. Take slip road to Eglinton Interchange. The finish is on the slip road leading to the roundabout prior to the merge with Long Drive.
