Start on the Danby - Castleton road (not via Ainthorpe) at gateway approx 150 yrds west of bridge over river Esk. Proceed through Castleton (M) over Blakey Ridge to Hutton-le-Hole. Proceed to southern end of village, Turn right (M) and proceed through Hutton-le-Hole village to rejoin the road (M) to return back over Blakey Ridge. Finish 200m before the cattle grid on the southern side of Castleton village.
