Medway | 10 miles | Q10/24
A strong field of 28 riders took on the Medway Velo 10 on the breezy Isle of Grain, with light drizzle doing little to dampen spirits. Riders battled a tough outward leg but were rewarded with a rapid tailwind push on the return to the finish.
GB Junior team rider Noah Smith (GKR Racing) stormed to victory in only his third time trial, stopping the clock at 19:42 and winning by an impressive 39 seconds. Kent-based Velorefined Aerosmiths Rule 5 showed their depth by securing the remaining podium spots through Kevin Tye and Andrew Meilak.
The women’s categories were dominated by Velorefined, with Tracy Wilkinson‑Begg taking the women’s TT win and Kat Dinley topping the women’s road bike category. Andrea Burtscher (Greenwich Tritons Tri Club) joined Kat on the road bike podium after a strong ride.
In the open road bike category, competition was fierce, but Ian Vagg (Project 51) powered home fastest to take the win.
A big thank you to all riders, volunteers, and supporters who made the event a success.
