This is the Hardriders event which had been scheduled for March earlier this year but postponed due to lengthy road works in Ettington.
This time trial, on the K4/21, is an amended, slightly, shortened version of the K4/23 course, avoiding the 20mph limit in Wroxton village.
This delayed event, now at the end of the season, will pose a test of a rider’s fitness gained through the summer.
Starting at Wroxton, competitors head north west, descending the fast Sun Rising Hill, through Ettington village where they then turn around at the roundabout after the village and retrace the route to HQ, climbing back up Sun Rising Hill which is 17% at it’s steepest.
The winner is presented with the Broughton Cup. The race HQ will be in Wroxton Village Hall. The open course record is 00:47:35 and the Women's open record is 00:54:29.
This is a great course which is mostly flat apart from the one hill and the homeward straight is a fast section of the course where you can pick up having completed the climb! You will receive a warm welcome - and a free piece of cake - come and give it a go! All bike categories welcome.
