Event DetailsCC Basingstoke (CCB) returns with the sixth edition of its annual hill climb race.
The race is on the steep slopes of Watership Down near Newbury (where Richard Adams' eponymous book was set). Although you hopefully won't see any fighting rabbits, last year competitors were cheered on by three dinosaurs!
Riders and spectators are guaranteed a warm welcome with equal prizes for men and women, homemade cakes, and a prize-giving presentation after the event. The weather was so good in 2023 that we even had ice creams!
Course records:
M: Ewan Tuohy (Dartford Wheelers): 1:54.2 (2023)
F: Madeleine Heywood (FTP Racing): 2-31.9 (2023)
Jnr: Aaron Franks (CC Islington): 2-04.3 (2023)
