The club was originally founded in 1892 and is one of the oldest cycling clubs in the UK and indeed the world.

Located in Richmond, North Yorkshire we are blessed with ease of access to the Yorkshire Dales, the Vale of Mowbray and the Vale of York as well as being close to the North York Moors. Our club rides take place on a Sunday and start from Richmond School car park. We have a small number of groups with a range of abilities catered for, so please do get in touch via our social media pages to get involved. Each ride is centred around a cafe stop which allows for social opportunities and we often meet off the bike too. May is the date of our annual SPOCO time trial which is a 24 mile course taking in the Grinton Moor climb and this is a much valued event in our diary, held in memory of one of our highly regarded and respected club members, Dave Clarke.
