Waldy Wheelers Club 10 Time Trial
Fancy testing yourself against the clock, or fancy your first ever time trial in a friendly, low pressure environment? This one's for you.
The Waldy Wheelers 10 mile time trial is a club staple, and it reflects everything we stand for: inclusive, welcoming, and genuinely supportive of riders at every level. Whether you're chasing a personal best or just curious what a TT feels like, you'll find a warm reception at the start line. No egos, no gatekeeping, just a club that wants to see you have a go.
The course
We're riding the HCC083 course, a 16.1 km (10 miles) out and back route starting near Longcross, Surrey. https://www.strava.com/segments/673027
Meeting point is ///scars.tape.vase at the junction of Longcross Road and Stonehill Road
It's a moderately rolling course rather than a pan-flat one. The average gradient works out at 0%, but that hides 186 metres of total elevation gain across the ride, climbing between 31 metres and 70 metres above sea level. Expect a few honest rises and falls rather than dead flat tarmac, so pace yourself accordingly.
Timing
We start strictly at 6:30pm, no exceptions, so that everyone is finished by 7:30pm and we beat the sunset. Please arrive with plenty of time to sign on and get warmed up.
Remember front and rear lights please.
Entry
Free for Waldy Wheelers members
£5 for non-members
We warmly welcome riders from outside the club too, so bring a friend, invite someone who's never raced before, or just come along and see what it's about.
Sign up online in advance, or on the day.
Whether it's your first TT or your fiftieth, we can't wait to see you there.
