Route map on Komoot: https://www.komoot.com/tour/2681008498
Starting on the A3071 in the layby just after the Tremethick Cross crossroads in the direction of St Just.
The course is primarily a hill climb with a couple of sections that descend towards the end of the course. The A3071 is a single carriageway road linking Penzance
to St Just.
It comprises long straight sections with good visibility with a few minor side junctions which are not busy roads. Road surface is in generally good condition.
The majority of the course is national speed limit with the exception of the small village of Newbridge which is 30mph.where the route passes by a farm and a
village pub.
The finish area (which was used on the open event on 14 April 2024 on the shortened S53/29 course) is on an incline which will facilitate the officials being able to
identify riders.
There are numerous facilities in nearby St Just including free car parking and public toilets and this area would be used for the competitors to sign on to the event.
Sign on would close 30 mins before race start to give riders chance to get to start.
Riders will be informed not to turn in the road at the start area but proceed to Tremethick Cross crossroads and use this junction to cross the carriageway. There
are side roads where riders can warm up before approaching the large start layby.
