IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ

The Beacon should be pretty quiet but to reduce the chances of a faster rider being held up behind a car trying to pass a slower rider I am going to seed you and send you off fastest first. Once you've entered please contact me with your expected time up the climb. Please enter online before the event (ideally by mid-afternoon Tuesday) so I can do the seeding. I will be accepting on-the-line entries but you won't be seeded so will be set off later. This may mean you are held up on the course.

Brighton Mitre bring you another mid-week hill climb to test your fitness and provide some training load. This week we venture to the iconic Ditchling Beacon, the segment details of which can be found here..

Entry is free for Brighton Mitre members and only £5 for others (please enter and pay online which allows you to take advantage of the extra free Yellow Jersey insurance). Entries close at 19.20 with first rider off at 19:31. Electronic timing chips may be in use and if they are riders are responsible for returning their chip to the organiser at the end of the event. Riders will be liable for the cost of replacement for any chips lost or not replaced (£50 per chip). Time are provisional until confirmed as finalised by the organiser.

Please do not park in the layby at the start / finish area. This area is reserved for officials cars only. Please do not loiter in the road before or after the start / finish line.
