New Course
K15/15 Course Description
The K15/15 is a new course, based on roads used for the established K15/10 and K15/25 courses. It is broadly out and back along the B5493 north-east of Tamworth, starting and finishing on minor roads off the B5493. The whole course is on single carriageway roads. There are no 20mph or 30 mph speed restrictions on the course. Marshals will be located at all significant points on the course as identified in the Risk Assessment, principally at the entry and exit to the B5493, Arkall Green roundabout, No Man's Heath and Mercia Park Distribution Centre roundabout.
Start: at a rough layby on Hangman's Lane, 50m north of its junction with Main Road, east of Shuttington Village Hall, at a yellow line marked K15/15. Proceed north to the junction with the B5493 at Seckington crossroads (marshal), where left with care onto the B5493, proceed in a south-westerly direction towards Tamworth. At Arkall Green housing estate, enter the mini roundabout (marshal), taking the fourth exit back onto the B5493. Proceed in a north-easterly direction, past Statfold Country Park, over Seckington crossroads (marshal), through No Man's Heath (marshal), to the roundabout at Mercia Park Distribution Centre (marshal). Take the third exit and re-join the B5493 in a south-westerly direction. Proceed through No Man's Heath, over Seckington crossroads. At Thorpegorse Cottages, turn left with care onto New Road (marshal). To Finish: approximately 350m south-east of the junction of New Road with the B5493, at a yellow line marked K15/15.
