Muckle Cycle Club’s long-running hill climb returns to Corbridge on Sunday 18 October.
It’s less than a mile—but Prospect Hill packs plenty into it:
📏 1.45km
📈 115m of climbing
⛰️ 7.8% average gradient
🔥 Steeper ramps around 12%
↩️ 7 bends from bottom to top
Short, sharp and satisfyingly unpleasant, it’s the perfect way to round off the season week before the Nationals. Pacing is everything: attack the bottom too enthusiastically and Prospect Hill will make sure you pay before the finish.
🏆 Equal men’s and women’s prize pots
🏆 Trophies up for grabs
👥 Team prize for the fastest three riders
⚡ Course-record recognition
🦍 The return of our infamous over-82kg category
🎭 Prize for the best fancy dress
You don’t need to be a hill-climb specialist - or built like a whippet - to take part. It’s a brilliant event for first-timers, with the best road side support at any NE event. Fancy dress encouraged!
