The V718, a 10-mile fast course, saw riders battling drags in lovely morning conditions. Barker enjoyed her return to the course, finishing ahead of Samantha Bissell (City RC (Hull)) (23:14) and Angela Hannon-Flaherty (Seacroft Whs) (23:46). “It was a lovely morning for it,” Barker said. “There were a couple of drags which I felt in the legs after racing Wednesday night. Great to be back racing on the course—we had the wind at us on the way out.” Burrows blasted a fixed-gear course record.
