Start by the BT manhole cover at the bridge over Harehope Burn, located on the B6278 approximately 1 mile south of Edmundbyers (54°49'54.9"N 1°59'21.7"W. 54.831919, -1.989353). Proceed south on the B6278 for approximately 2.5 miles. Finish at the top of Muggleswick Common adjacent to the highest snow pole (54°47'55.2"N 1°59'43.9"W 54.798671, -1.995529)
